The Chandler Park marshland project (read more) is well underway. Soon we will plant more than 4,500 native plants and trees. Native plants will provide protected land for birds, snakes, amphibians, pollinators, dragonflies and other wildlife. Together, they remove pollutants and contaminants from stormwater.

The Conservancy will leverage the marshland environment for recreation and learning. It will include greenspaces for picnics and exercise, an interpretive observation path and educational offerings for children and adults to learn about conservation, natural habitats horticulture. Chandler Park will become a “living lab” for environmental and ecology-related education for the entire community and region.

Join the Friends of Chandler Park and support this effort by making a donation to purchase and maintenance of plants in the marshland. There are several species to choose from. Select your plant below and click on the the corresponding link to make your gift.  You may also make a gift by sending a check, made payable to "Chandler Park Conservancy", address: 4401 Conner, Detroit, MI 48215.
